a story begins
Up until now my story has been my own. I wish to share it because what was once described as carefree thievery has become an amazing adventure. Stories like mine are meant to be shared. No... meant is the wrong word. Stories like mine must be shared. It’s through self progression that we gain the will and courage to take that road. You know, the one less traveled. It’s a victory in impossible odds that we gain a perspective of our own worth. It’s through the loyalties of friendship that we find meaning behind sacrifice. My story... well my story, looking back has all those things, and as I tell you my story you will see that it is never too late to be that person you want to be. I will try to catch you all up on story to date. I will be brief and your imagination can fill in the gaps. I was born in a little town, with little people called Windurst. Even at a young age, I knew my path. The elder Tarutaru would tell my mother that fate gave me swift hands and quick thinking. They were right. By the time I was 13 years old I had been banded from every merchant's store. I was never caught, but people just magically became poorer when I was around. At the age of 20 something unexpected happened. I had this urge, or calling to be an adventurer. It wasn’t long before my name was known in the surrounding regions. I also got my hands dirty with the Tenshendo and took up a minor practice in Nijitsu. Not really my calling, but education in the art proved most useful. During this time, my childhood friend Tristyn, was becoming a fine Red Mage and making a name for him self in Bastok. Tristyn and I soon discovered that making a name for our self wasn’t enough as an adventurer. You needed to "know" people to get ahead. We got in with several groups of other adventures, Divine Guardians, Black Materia, and a few others that I can not remember the names of. None of them seemed to have the poise or motivation that we craved. It wasn’t until Tristyn and I was helping eradicate the never ending populous of the yellow carnivorous crawlers emanating from the Crawlers Nest that we met some fine adventures who had a great treasure to offer us. Now that I think back on it... Tristyn really was the one who was invited; I just kind of tagged along for the ride. To be more specific (and a little less shady, sorry it comes naturally) Tristyn made friends with two adventures, Painkillers and Syren. We had a very exciting party, very effective and efficient, which is always good, but we also had a lot of fun chatting. One day Tristyn was having an "out of body experience" and I was guiding his actions when Painkillers invited Tristyn into the group known as Mad Capsules (a ridiculous name I first thought). Tristyn having warned me that this may happen and taking advantage of the moment, I accepted the invite on Tristyn behalf as long as his best friend Spiyre could come along. I was told that someone by the name of "Kissfan" would be delivering our communication devices called "Linkpearls" to us. I was expecting a sexy little Mithrian with a name like that, but names are defiantly deceiving. Kissfan turned out to be a monster of a Galka whose arms were as big as my torso. He looked like a huge hairy walking mountain of metal. What I discovered from joining the group was that I wasn’t looking for people in the "know", I was looking for a family. I found just that. Many people from MC were newer to the adventuring game, some were seasoned, but they all seemed to come together to help when they could. Sure, like all families, hard times came and went, and the family adjusted as needed, but all and all things are still pretty good there. Not long after joining MC I fell in close with two members. Their names are Xandora and Findecano. Xandora is a shy but fierce little Hume White Mage, who is always followed by her bodyguard/obsessor/lover elvaan Dragoon Findecano. Findecano gullibility gave me ample laughter playing some slightly crude, but very thievish tricks on him. Often times telling him after I helped him that my services were at an astronomical rate and watching him ask me with unease if I was only joking or if I was serious. Xandora isn’t nearly as gullible, and I have yet to test the waters, but playing jokes on her would only result in me feeling sheepish. Another adventure Zilana has also, from time to time, graced us with her presence. Zilana's humor is only matched by her skill as a Red Mage, both which are of the greatest degree.
We have had many adventures together so far. We have found our selves standing together as the darkness of the dynamis universe covers us, with unearthly hordes of nasty beast trying to rip us limb from limb. Sun bathed beaches of Bibki Bay where peace and quiet is on tap. While going these adventures I have picked up some new trades as well. I took up cooking as a way to pass the time and I have great love of gardening and watching things grow.
I know what your thinking... where is the story at? What is so remarkable about what I have told you so far? Well this is just where the story starts...
